Terms of Use

AutoPrice aggregates publicly available classified adverts and public reference data to publish market price bands, vehicle specifications, import-duty estimates and indicative financing information for Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. It is an information service for shoppers and researchers. AutoPrice is not a dealer, importer, valuer, lender, customs agent or financial adviser, and is not regulated as one.

• The figures shown are asking prices observed in live adverts within a recent window - what sellers are asking, not what a vehicle sold for or is worth.
• A band (e.g. “KSh 1,230,000 - 1,410,000”) summarises the middle of observed asking prices; roughly nine of every ten adverts in the sample fall inside it. Individual vehicles legitimately trade outside it.
• Bands are statistical estimates from limited samples, labelled with a confidence level. Low-confidence bands are shown because thin data is still more useful than no data - but treat them as a starting point for negotiation, not a certified value.
• Rows tagged “estimated” are modelled (from official CRSP schedules or neighbouring years), not observed - they are labelled as such wherever they appear.

Nothing on this site is a formal valuation or appraisal. For one, get a physical inspection or a professional valuation.

The duty calculator and per-vehicle duty figures apply published formulas (including the Kenya Revenue Authority’s CRSP schedule and Nigeria’s import charge stack) to values you supply or values we estimate. Real assessment depends on facts we cannot know - the actual customs value, vehicle condition, customs officer’s judgement, current Finance Act provisions and the CRSP revision in force on your import date. Always confirm with the Kenya Revenue Authority or the Nigeria Customs Service before committing money. Duty figures on this site are not customs advice.

Financing quotes are computed from lender terms the operator compiled from public sources (rates, maximum term, vehicle-age limits), each labelled with its source and date. They are illustrations of what published terms imply - not offers of credit, not pre-approval, and not the lender’s quote to you. Every lender prices per applicant; confirm directly with the lender. Where a rate had to be benchmarked (e.g. to the central-bank average lending rate), the site says so.

We work hard to keep the data current and correctly classified, and we label known limitations (estimated rows, approximate exchange rates, thin samples). Still, the site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Data comes from third-party sources we do not control; listings can be stale, mispriced or miscategorised. Coverage, prices and exchange-rate references can change without notice. Do not rely on the site as your only check before a purchase, import or financing decision.

• The AutoPrice name, compiled price bands, catalog and site content belong to the site operator. Bulk copying or republishing our compiled datasets requires permission.
• Vehicle photos are hotlinked from their sources or from Wikimedia Commons under their licences, with attribution shown on the image. All photo rights remain with the original owners. If you own a photo shown here and object, contact the operator for removal.
• Vehicle names and trademarks belong to their respective manufacturers and are used only to identify vehicles.

• Don’t scrape, harvest or bulk-download the site in an automated way without written permission - the data behind each page is expensive to build and the service is self-funded.
• Don’t attempt to break into, overload or disrupt the service, including the admin area.
• Don’t present AutoPrice figures as official valuations, customs assessments or lender offers.

If you submit data (models, prices, duty rates), you confirm it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and cite a verifiable source. Submissions are saved as drafts, audited by an automated system, and only published when the audit confirms them or a site administrator approves them. You grant the site a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to publish submitted data as part of its dataset, with an internal audit trail. The site may reject or remove any submission at its discretion. Automated audits are plausibility and consistency checks, not official confirmation - published community data is provided under the same disclaimers as the rest of the site.

• “Featured sellers” sections are paid advertisements. They are labelled “Sponsored”, open a WhatsApp chat with the advertiser when clicked, and are not endorsements: we do not verify the advertiser, their stock, prices or licences, and a deal you make with them is yours alone.
• Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the details they supply (business name, contact number, description, images they have the rights to use) and for holding any trade licence their jurisdiction requires. The operator may decline, pause or remove any advert at its discretion, and may re-claim the fee proportionally for unexpired prepaid periods.
• Buyers dealing with an advertised seller should inspect the vehicle in person and verify ownership documents. The disclaimers in the sections above apply equally to anything an advertiser tells you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site operator is not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or its data - including financial loss from a purchase, import, duty payment or financing decision. You use the site at your own discretion and verify what matters before you act on it.

The site links to marketplaces, lenders, tax authorities and photo sources, and offers a WhatsApp share action. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or practices.

These terms may be updated as the service grows; the “last updated” date above changes when they do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence. See also our Privacy Policy.
